Terra Spirit Pagan Fellowship Society

We are official.

As of May 4th, 2009, Terra Spirit Pagan Fellowship became incorporated as a not for profit society.

Thank you to everyone who has offered support and encouragement.

There will be a few events throughout the summer, including, most hopefully, a Litha picnic for families. We just need to find the right spot.

Perhaps the lake?

Due to conflicting schedules, our parent/tot group has not been very active, so hopefully that picks up soon!

Well, it is official. The days are taking over the nights. So much is growing… little fuzzy buds on our quince tree, our little oak that Shannon saved last season and brought to my house, elderberry, angelica, lilac, the roses… everything has been reborn.
From the soul of the earth comes the beating of the drum….
It would be great to get a drumming circle together out here. If anyone is interested, email me, moonrise at terraspitit dot org.
The papers have not been filed yet.. this Friday I’m hoping .

Terra Spirit Pagan Fellowship!

The name was approved and we hope to incorporate by Ostara. This is important to alot of people, and we are quite excited. Our playgroup for pre-schoolers and parents starts on Monday. Hopefully in time we will be able to find a regular location for all our meetings etc.

What a great time of the year for the birth of the Society!

We are attempting to create a society. More news will come soon. Right now we are awaiting name approval. There are benefits to obtaining legal status as a society, one of the main reasons for doing this is to bring ‘Pagan” into the light to help dispel the negativity associated with the term.

Someone had a great idea about starting up a tot and parent get together, so that is something we will be working on. Originally we were going to go with Spiral Scouts, but it was taking a very long time to get the information, paper work etc. So we thought we would simplify and see what we could come up with ourselves. We plan on starting  very small until we figure out what will work best, but as we expand, we will make it public so that all local area like minded parents can come out and join in.

We would like to have structured play time for the kids, and keep it in the theme of earth based learning.Also of course, coffee for the parents and food for everyone.

I will post updates as we get things a bit more figured out.

All around the valley, the earth is awakening. Energy is growing. Breathe it in and fill yourself with the vitality. What a wonderful time. Full of promise.
We have some little seeds popping through the soil in the egg carton. Seeds from our Imbolc seed blessing.
Crocuses are poking out all about the yard.
The Lord and Lady have returned, full of energy and prosperity.

Well, we’ve made it out of the dark half of the year. How wonderful it is to still see the hint of day lingering round dinner time.

A great idea for Imbolc is a seed blessing.

Choose somthing you may like to grow to use in healing , or to use in a tea  or for any purpose really…. take the seeds and contemplate on their purpose… then breathe into them your intent. Imagine your intent is penetrating in through the shell of the seed and sparking growth.

Plant the seeds in little containers, and at Ostara you can plant these magically charged plants into the outdoors. When the time comes to use them , you will know they are fully charged with your will.

You can also charge your seeds with energy for things such as prosperity.. or fertility.. envision the seeds as your business, or as your family, etc. Seed magic can be used at this time of year for many things.

This can be done as part of ritual, as I perfer to do, or can be done as a part of quiet contemplation, and done with a group or on your own. Whatever works for you.

Use candles appropriate to you for this time of year. Imbolc falls into the eastern realm, so using candle colours of your eastern element, or yellow for the sun, some herbs for incense that are suitable for this time of new growth…

I see Imbolc as the first day of spring, for if mid-winter falls at the end of December, well then this surely is the beginning of spring. It is a great day for welcoming our Lord and Lady back from the underworld.. reborn, renewed and ready once again to dance the wheel of the year!

Let’s make this a great year! I know that I feel pretty optimistic. Although I know I’ll be busy with our newest addition, I am hoping that we will all be able to find the time to get together, maybe even celebrate a Sabbat or two. Blessings to you all!

But Yuletide Blessings to all, and may 2009 bring with it Peace, Happiness & Prosperity!

Well, hopefully the weather will hold enough to allow us this last Yarning Web of 2008.

It is frightfully cold with a threat of snow.. sooooo we shall have to see how it goes, but I will be there for sure.

I will probably work on these little bags I am making for my tumbled stones. (I need to practice, practice, practice!)

Definitely can feel the male element of the season. The wind is SO powerful today. The Lord of Death , although giving way to the newly born Lord of Light soon, certainly shows no sign of relenting.
